Double Parlors The pair of matching marble mantels was custom-made in Philadelphia for Millford, and the large gilt-frame mirrors were made in New York in 1840. All were shipped to Charleston, then up the Santee River to Millford. The furniture is documented from Phyfe’s last “modern period” in the early 1840’s before his retirement. |
